Students use various target language media to gather information about French Presidential election candidates and create a digital poster about the candidate of their choice. They also identify examples of propaganda found in the course of their research.
Mock class voting will take place prior to the actual election,and results will be displayed in a chart.(interpretive/presentational)
Students use various target language media to follow French Presidential campaign promotions (ads and commercials, etc) and create a short promotion for their chosen candidate and his/her platform or "cause",using video or podcast . Students identify differences in advertising technique,if any, comparing/contrasting French candidate promotions with those used for recent American candidates.Mock class voting will take place prior to the actual election,and results will be compared and analyzed in an article for the school newspaper.(interpretive/presentational)
Students research and follow the French Presidential campaign in order to role play a candidate . Student "candidates" assume their role to videotape or record a Presidential debate prior to the election.

Students research on activities of some United Nations theme days for example, World Food Day, World Aids Day...etc on various UN websites and other target language speaking countries in target language. Each student choose to represent a country and come up with a power point presentation, poster or newscast of the day's activities in various parts of that country that is shared in class and posters pasted in the hallways to create awareness.(interpretive/presentational)

Learners access student websites/student created video from target culture (using Google search features) and read/view target culture views on US regional/national cultural topics (i.e., the Alamo, the World Series, The American Revolution, American school system, Sesame Street, American Football, . . ). Learners make list of attitudes which differ from commonly held US cultural attitudes. (Interpretive; Presentational)

Students will use information from a target news website to produce a news broadcast from a target language country.
